The carnival parade will be held at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds. Please arrive early; we suggest no later than 9.30 am. Roads and surrounding areas will be blocked off and crowded, so arrive early and get settled.
The parade starts at 12 noon. Assembly and staging are on the west side of Tamiami Park. We are #10 in the parade. You must enter through the gate located at SW 114th Ave. & SW 24th St. (Coral Way). Parking is available at SW 112th Ave & Coral Way.
Photographers and videographers will be roaming with the band. Participation in the carnival constitutes consent for you to be filmed and/or photographed in the parade.
Listen carefully to our Security. They are there to ensure your safety. If you have any questions or concerns at all, feel free to communicate with our team/security. They will be wearing gray T-shirts with “SECURITY” written on the back.
Please do not hang on to the trucks. NO ONE except authorized personnel with special wristbands will be allowed on the trucks.
You may roam in and out of the band; however, anyone without costume and wristbands will not be permitted to enter the band or the Fairgrounds. This includes spectators, friends and family. Security will enforce this vigorously.
All masqueraders must get into their sections once the band approaches the stage area for judging. GenX personnel will direct you and organize the band into its full splendor. Please maintain possession of your entire costume for our stage presentation.
The band will proceed to the staging area in the Fairgrounds and wait for our turn to cross the stage.
Our presentation of “Unapologetic-Disrupt the System” will begin and sections will be directed to cross the stage ONE at a time in the prescribed order. Frontline, then all others. Please assist in this effort.
Please listen to GenX personnel for instructions and give them your full attention and cooperation. While on the stage, each section will be judged. They expect us to be vibrant and energetic, so let’s not disappoint them!
After all the sections have crossed the stage, the band will go to their assigned location in the park and continue to party GenX style with our DJs and celebrity entertainers. Masqueraders are free to roam as they please and attend the stage show provided by Miami-Broward One Carnival.
